Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 Overview

Samsung Rogue

Samsung Rogue

Verizon Wireless customers that have been using Samsung cellular phones have definitely embraced the Samsung Rogue.  It is a great handheld that offers both a touch screen and a full keyboard with plenty of features for the user who does a lot of messaging.  Samsung has previously had issues with touch screen phones but this time they seemed to have perfected it.  The Rogue is a great addition to the Samsung product line and if you’ve never used a Samsung phone before this is one you may wish to give a try.

Key features

  • 3.5 millimeter headset jack
  • Keyboard
  • 3 megapixel camera
  • EV-DO rev. A
  • GPS
  • HTML with Flash Lite
  • Touch screen

Good points

  • The phone has a sleek design that includes a brilliant display that is easy to read
  • There is a 3.5 millimeter headset jack built into the phone
  • The camera is a 3 megapixel camera that takes clear pictures
  • The call quality of the phone is good and does not suffer from sluggish networks
  • There is a full keyboard plus touch screen on the phone

Bad points

  • Even with a sleek design the phone feels bulky
  • The quality of streaming video on the phone through the browser is poor

Since Samsung wrung out the problems with their touch screen phones, the Rogue has taken off like wildfire making it one of Verizon Wireless’ most popular models.  The display is an AMOLED touch screen that is bright and easy to read and the high-end features of the phone have brought the Samsung touch screen to new life.  It is also affordably priced but if you get the phone with a Verizon plan you will have to pay for a data plan additional.
