Similar to the HTC Touch Diamond, the Touch Pro has a few notable differences. The first of these is a mechanical QWERTY keyboard, accessible by sliding the screen away. The Diamond uses the touch screen for typing, which has proved unpopular with business types.

The Pro is thicker (about 7mm) than the Diamond, and this is to accomodate the QWERTY keyboard. It also has 288MB RAM vs the Diamond’s 192MB. Rather than having internal storage (the Diamond has 4GB) it has a SD/microSD slot which I presume supports the high capacity models of those cards.

The final word: the HTC Touch Pro is not aimed at being a competitor to the uber popular iPhone, rather it has focussed on delivering the features required by the mobile business user. A well made, and well thought out phone.
